How to fasten off the ends of fingers and thumbs neatly

Step 1 – Cast off stitches until one
remains on your needle.

Step 2 – Cut yarn and pull through
loop of last stitch.

Step 3 – Insert needle through
both loops above first column of
purl stitches.

Step 4 – This is what it looks like
from above.

Step 5 – Insert needle back into
last stitch next to where the yarn is
coming from.

Step 6 – Insert needle into loop
below the loop you have just
made.

Step 7 – Pull yarn to adjust size of
loop so it matches your other
stitches.

Step 8 – This is what it looks like
from above.

Step 9 – This is what it looks like
from the side.
