Description
Method:
This pattern is written in U.S. crochet terms. It contains written round by round instructions with photos for each round. Photo tutorials for all special stitches are also included.
Size and gauge:
Using Dk yarn:
After first three rounds of pattern your work should measure 3” (7.5 cm).
Completed coaster measures 4¾” (12 cm) at widest point by 4¼” (11 cm) at tallest point.
Using 4 ply yarn will result in a smaller coaster, using worsted weight (aran), or bulky (chunky) yarn will result in a larger coaster.
Yarn:
This pattern was designed with Cygnet 100% Cotton DK. You can use any weight and fiber of yarn that you like to make your coasters, just use an appropriately sized hook for the yarn that you are using.
To make each coaster I used the following quantities of 100% Cotton by Cygnet:
Yarn A – Orange Soda 5506 – approx. 18m (20 yards)
Yarn B – Honey Brown 6612 – approx. ½m (½ yards)
Hook:
3.75mm (F) crochet hook for DK yarn (or size appropriate for your yarn)
Other Materials Required:
Tape Measure
Scissors
Darning needle for sewing in ends
